The Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program provides Early Childhood Education that promotes cognitive, linguistic, physical, cultural, emotional, and social development to eligible 4 year old children free of charge.  UPK allows us to provide an additional 2.5 hours to the Head Start hours. The extended hours benefit parents who are working or in a training program.

Currently CDSC provides UPK services for 20 children.  The program is funded by the NYC Department of Education.   

Hours of Operation 

UPK/Head Start: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Head Start:  3 years old - 8:00 am -  3:00 pm
