Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting is part of the application process for becoming a registered or licensed family, group family childcare provider, or school-age program staff. Fingerprinting helps to maintain and ensure a safe environment for children in child care programs.

Fingerprints are required for:

  • Family Day Care Providers
  • Group Family Day Care Providers
  • Group Family Day Care Assistants
  • Family members - 18 years and older
  • School-age Child Care Staff

CDSC offers this service at no cost to any of these modalities. All you need to do is come into our office anytime during our regular business hours of Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.  If there are five or more participants in your program, we can come to your location to do fingerprinting.

You will be required to bring valid, photo identification (such as a driver's license, passport, employment, etc.) as well as your Booklet ID # which is located inside the application booklet at the bottom left hand side on the back of each page. We cannot fingerprint anyone without identification.

In the event that you need to make alternate arrangements, here are other locations where you can have the fingerprints taken.
