Find Child Care

Thank you for choosing Child Development Support Corporation Child Care Resource and Referral services to assist you in your search for child care. Our experienced bilingual parent counselors are ready to assist you. All information gathered during the process, is strictly confidential and will not be shared without your written consent. Please take a minute to read our Privacy Policy: CDSC will not share any personal information with third parties provided during the referral process without your written consent.

We do our best to provide you with the most current information available. Our referral services are provided at no cost. Please note that any referral you receive from us is not meant to endorse or recommend. A licensed program doesn’t ensure quality care. We encourage you to visit several child care programs before making your final child care choice. It is also a good idea to ask the child care program for references and to contact them. Only you can assess whether the quality of care is right for your child.

Once you have made contact and visited a specific child care provider, you should check the licensing history and complaint file of the program by calling the Department of Health at 212-676-2444, 2449 or 2450 or visting www.nyc.gov/DOH. If you need help paying for child care call 311 or use the subsidy eligibility calculator.

We offer you several options to get your child care referral:

• For the most comprehensive and personalized service, please contact us at 718-398-6738 and one of our parent counselors will assist you and your family to make an informed choice for your child care search. The parent counselor will mail you a packet with your referrals and other resources which you may find helpful. Our services are provided at no cost.
 • A few weeks after receiving your referral packet, we will follow-up with you to get your feedback on the information you received and about your overall child care search experience.

 • Complete a
Child Care Request Form asking you for a short family profile and a list of your child care needs. In order to provide you with complete and accurate referrals, we must have as much information as possible on your form. Please use the comments section to explain any special circumstances or needs you may have.
 • Submit your completed form and a parent counselor will search our database and return referrals and related materials to you by email, at no cost.
 • A few weeks after receiving your referral packet, we will follow-up with you to get your feedback on the information you received and about your overall child care search experience.

 • You can search our online database 24 hours a day, at no cost. The child care provider database includes all NYC regulated child care centers, family and group family child care providers, school-age programs and day camps in New York City.
 • We recommend that you select the fewest number of choices that apply, as each choice you make will narrow your search results. Please be sure to read the instructions and HELP functions carefully in order to facilitate a successful search.
