SERVICES TO PARENTS

Low Income Family Referrals                            3,272  Interactions
A service that assists low income (TANF or subsidy eligible) families in making appropriate child care arrangements. This service is provided through in-takes, and consulting/counseling that leads to the development of an appropriate child care plan.

Non-Subsidy Family Referrals                            863  Interactions
A service that assists families who are not subsidy eligible in making appropriate child care arrangements. This service is provided through in-takes, and consulting/counseling that leads to the development of an appropriate child care plan.                                                                                                                    

SERVICES TO REGULATED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS

Start-Up Grants                                                    110  Grants
Grants up to $500 provided to potential or newly registered/licensed child care providers to assist in establishing  a family child care business. Start-Up grants may be used for items such as fire alarms, first aid kits, and other items that are consistent with quality child care.

Health & Safety Grants                                        113  Grants
Grants up to $200 provided to support existing registered/licensed child care providers in maintaining regulatory compliance and continuing quality care. Health & Safety grants may be used for items such as smoke detectors, first aid supplies, and other items that are consistent with quality child care. 

Technical Assistance                                            1,720  Individual Interactions
A service that occurs when a CCR&R provides information specific to a child care provider/program on such topics as: best practices for providing child care, indicators of quality child programs, information on business administration practices and regulations governing program compliance issues specific to that program. All individuals working in licensed and registered programs are eligible for technical assistance.

Intensive Technical Assistance                                940  Hours of Service
A service that occurs when a CCR&R provides information specific to a child care provider/program on such topics as: best practices for providing child care, indicators of quality child programs, information on business administration practices and regulations governing program compliance issues specific to that program. All individuals working in licensed and registered programs are eligible for technical assistance. Intensive technical assistance is in person and is for a duration of at least one hour in length.

Specialized Health Care Consultancy Services     755 Individual Interactions
Includes all services provided to assist providers/programs in complying with the regulations concerning Health Care Plan requirements for the Administration of Medication Regulations, the care of infants and the care of mildly ill children. All licensed and registered providers/programs, prospective programs/providers and legally exempt providers are eligible for these services. Services must be conducted by an individual who meets health care consultant qualifications.


SERVICES TO LEGALLY EXEMPT PROVIDERS

Health and Safety Kits                                            156  Grants
Grants of $75 worth of equipment offered to legally exempt providers. This equipment can consist of fire alarms, health and safety items, and items to be determined consistent with quality child care.

Technical Assistance                                                251  Individual Interactions
A service that occurs when a CCR&R provides information specific to a legally exempt provider on such topics as: best practices for providing child care, indicators of quality child programs, information on business administration practices and regulations governing program compliance issues specific to that provider. All legally exempt providers are eligible for technical assistance.
