Child Care Training
Family Day Care Providers, Group Family Day Care Providers, Group Family Day Care Assistants, and Center Based Staff and Directors must complete a minimum of 30 clock hours of training every 24 months. The 30 clock hours of training must include the child abuse identification and prevention training as well as training in the following topics:

Principles of early childhood development

Safety and security procedures, including communication between parents and staff

Child abuse and maltreatment identification and prevention

Statutes and regulations pertaining to child day care and child abuse and maltreatment

Nutrition and health needs of infants and children
- Business record maintenance and management

Child day care program development

Statutes and regulations pertaining to child abuse and maltreatment

Education and information on the identification, diagnosis and prevention of shaken baby syndrome
ACS Preventive Clients
We offer a well-tailored certificate course on parenting, home management skills, and child development for parents to develop and improve their parenting skills as well as understand the dynamics of a child’s life. The training are conducted monthly, but are also available on an as-needed basis. The settings for the training also vary, from a group setting to a one-on-one setting.
New and Experienced Parents
We offer workshops on early childhood development stages, effective parenting tools, shaping a child’s behavior, raising great kids without punishment, effective discipline, setting limits, praise and rewards, and handling misbehavior in public.
We also have a monthly infant and toddler reading corner to teach parents how to promote early literacy. The workshop is conducted in a relaxed setting complete with hands-on activities and great books.
General Public
At CDSC’s Training Institute there is something for everyone. We have workshops for entrepreneurs on topics such as expanding your business, proposal/business plan writing, and financial planning workshops.
