Infant Toddler Technical Assistance

The Infant Toddler Technical Assistance (ITTA) is a free program that provides educational and supportive services to help enhance the quality of care and build the supply of programs serving infants and toddlers in New York City.  The ITTA also addresses the critical training and support needs of childcare providers and parents caring for infants and toddlers. 

CDSC's Infant Toddler Technical Assistance is offered through a collaborative effort of the New York City Child Care Resource and Referral Consortium.Consortium members include Day Care Council of New York, Inc.,Chinese American Planning Council, Inc.,Center for Children's Initiatives and The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc. For more information about the Infant Toddler Technical Assistance Program, visit babystepsnyc.org

We have on site Infant Toddler Specialist who provides training both on and off-site on many topics such as: Infant Toddler Development, Curriculum Planning to Meet Group and Individual Needs, Setting Up the Environment for Infants and Toddlers, Promoting Language Development, Temperament and Early Relationships, Health and Safety for Infants and Toddlers, Nutrition, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), Shaken Baby Syndrome, Setting Limits and Positive Discipline, Toilet training etc. Provider can also request a specific topic for training to fit their individual needs.

Our IT Specialist also provides technical assistance regarding regulatory requirements, program accreditation, and can assist you in assessing your program. The Specialist assist providers in finding information and materials that are available at all of the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency Resource Libraries.
